Stratton Mountain Resort is minutes away for skiing and snowboarding in winter. Summer brings hiking to Hamilton Falls, golf courses, and swimming holes. Manchester offers farm-to-table restaurants, local breweries, and shops. Many guests end their day in the hot tub or pool, watching the forest around them.
When's the best time to visit?
Winter brings skiing at Stratton and the magic of swimming in a heated pool while snow falls. Summer is perfect for hiking and outdoor exploration. Fall foliage around High Meadow turns brilliant shades of red and gold. Each season offers something different.
Can we use the Stratton Mountain shuttle from the house?
Yes. Wandering Moose sits along the shuttle route, making it easy to reach the resort during ski season without driving. The shuttle typically runs on winter weekends and holidays.
Is Wandering Moose good for families?
Absolutely. The home sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The lower level has board games, a record player, and an arcade machine. The fenced pool area and open yard are perfect for kids and dogs.
